Adequate for the price of the rooms. Adding a breakfast to the cost would make it an even better deal. Rooms are much smaller than we expected, so used the one room for our luggage and one for sleeping. Staff was OK, but wasn't impresssed with the overall attitude.

I was not happy with the Rayfont Shanghai Celebrity Hotel this time, I have to check out earlier because I could not stand the condition: 1. My room has no hot water, the hot water run out after few minutes. I requested to change the room but they just send people to fix it but never make it work. 2. The internet cable was not long enough to reach the table, I asked for a long cable, but they just told me they don't have one and let me use my PC on the floor. 3. The room was cold, they gave me a blanket instead. There were bugs in the blanket that attacked my body, I got bug bites all over my body. 4. I have to move out this hotel after 3 nights stay, my reservation was for 7. I asked for refund, but the hotel asked me to contact HOTEL.COM.

The room looked nice, but the night we stayed there was a cold December night and the heat in the room wasn't sufficient. We were freezing the whole night. The room also lacked ordinary things like hooks or racks for towels in the bathroom and we had to call down to get a hairdryer.

1. Foreign currency exchange is not available after 8:00 pm??? 2. Hot water takes about 10 minutes to come on; 3. I rented a set of kitchen wares. Most of them were dirty and worn out. Many of the bowls were chipped; 4. I needed to stay at the hotel for 2 extra hours during the last day of my stay. I was charged RMB500 which was considered 1/2 day of regular daily charge (not the hotels.com price). They could have simply let me stay the 2 hours for free or for some mininal service charge. No receipts were issued for the 1/2 day stay either.

We have a party of four (me, my wife and 2 kids) and stayed in a one bed room suite. There is a queen-sized sofa bed in the living room which is big enough for the 2 little kids to sleep. The hotel room is clean and quiet. Good for family travel. The staff at front entrance will get a taxi for you as quick as possible. This hotel is located in a residential area where is only a few big blocks from the main shopping streets. It only costs RMB11 by taxi from hotel to the shopping areas. Within walking distance, there are 24-hours convenience store, restaurants and hair salon. SPA and Sport Club is at the basement floor. Nice foot massage at good price. The swimming pool is clean. Sport facilities include a gym, ping-pong room, pool table, and chess/majong rooms. The only hotel restaurant on 2/F serves buffet breakfast every morning. Good price for starting the day. Overall the staff treated us very well and they speaks good English. Will recommend to friends and families.

I don't know how this hotel gets four stars. The location is not great, the staff are not very friendly, the decor is poor and in need of repair, the bed is like a slab of concrete, the room is tiny and we had bed bugs! The one up side is the low price of massages and treatments in the basement salon, which is actually very clean and comfortable - that's why we spent most of our time there!

The hotel is a little bit far away from the tourists spots, but if you don't minds walking 10min. to the metro station or grabbing a cab this is a great location. There are several restaurant within walking distance and a Century Mart and several Family Mart convenience stores. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great place for the price paid, excellent for regular travler

This apartment hotel is very well located, near several interesting sites. It is easy to catch a taxi to go anywhere and the subway station is about 10 min. walk. It is easy to navigate the subways. The people at the hotel were very courteous and willing to help and even though sometimes it was a little difficult to understand them, if you have patience and are kind to them, you can accomplish a lot. The apartment was big and spacious, the bathrooms modern with beautiful fixtures and marble tile. Just perfect. I would recommend this hotel anytime.

If you stay longer than two weeks, this is a great option in Shanghai. The apartments are large, clean, modern and bright and the price is right. The location is pretty good. The Metro is only 2 1/2 blocks away and catching taxis is pretty easy. The service is good, with the staff speaking moderate english (except housekeeping). There are grocery shops and restaurants near by. Internet access is charged extra but the speed is fast. The gym and pool are ok and so is the in-house restaurant and in-room massage service. Overall: great value. I will come again.

This hotel is well located, well priced and very practical having had a washer & dryer in my small unit. The units were updated with modern bathrooms and dark hardwood floors. Service was very good from the bellman and the housekeeping staff. The only problem is that the front desk is very slow, and the English of the front desk staff is not very good. If there are no issues with your reservation and stay, this won't be a problem, but if your stay gets complicated, you should stay elsewhere. Also, there are three different towers, so you should be careful when trying to tell friends where to meet you.

This is a great place to stay for the price. The hotel is a relatively new, clean and modern highrise, and some units have balconies for a great view. You can rent a unit with multiple bedrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen, and maid service for less than the price of a traditional hotel room. It is located close to downtown Shanghai, with taxi easily available. The cab ride is short, and the fare is minimal. If you are renting a multiple bedroom unit, you will have to request additional towels, becuase only one set is provided per bedroom, but the hotel is accomodating and will provide more towels, blo dryers, and even any kitchen equipment at no extra charge. Will definitely use this place again on my next trip.

Overall it is good. Given the price and the rating, it is what I have expected. The rooms are clean and good. However, the bathroom is very small (comparing to US hotels) but it is fine in Chinese standards. You get what you pay for and it is a good value.

This hotel upgraded me for no apparant reason. I booked a standard room. On arrival they upgraded me to an 8th floor one bedroom apartment style suite (at no additional cost). The room was huge and had a high end feel in comfort. Vaulted cielings, recessed track lighting, walk-out balcony, separate living and dining room, marble tiled kitchen floor/walls with stainless steel appliances including gas stove/oven. The master bedroom had sufficient closet space included a safe, a marble bathroom with heat lamps and ample supply and daily replemishment of toiletries, shampoo and lotions, etc.. And the restaurant had high level attention to customer service and food quality. Don't forget your on location massage services with in room option. I promise the full body $45USD 90 minute massage will straighten you out... Bravo!

Super lækkert hotel, hvor værelser er i top kvalitet, både med indretning og renhed. Man tror næsten, at man er gået forkert når man tænker på hvad man har betalt for dem. Svømmehalen og fitness rummet i kælderen er også i super kvalitet og let til gængelige! Tag endelig morgenmaden med på dette hotel, fordi det er en buffet med rigtig lækker mad! Hvis man ikke spiser meget, skal man dog overveje at lade være, fordi det er ret dyrt (vi købte den ikke med, men spiste der 1 dag for RMB 125 (1 voksen og 2 børn)). Eneste minus er, at hotellet ligger ret langt væk fra seværdighederne. Det blir dog kun et rigtig problem når der er myldretid, fordi der tager det ca. en time at komme til The Bund i taxa. Taxa priserne er dog ikke det der lige kommer til at ødelægge budgettet, så hvis man har lyst til at slappe af i Shanghai mens man bevæger sig fra A til B, så tag en taxa - selvom det tager tid at komme derhen.

It is a nice cheap hotel - real value for money.

Hotellet ligger beläget en aning off, men taxi är enkelt så på några minuter är man inne i statskärnan. Fräscht hotel, som dock visade några skavanker i form av lite småtrasigheter. Helt ok service, men hotellets personal hade svårt med engelskan, vilket i och för sig inte är ovanligt för att vara i Kina. Mycket fräscha rum, bra toalett, men lite hårda sängar. Det var mycket kallt i mars när vi var där, och ac´n funkade dåligt, så det blev till att ta på sig kläder vid sänggående. Akta er för de extremt varma lamporna i badrummet, så blir nog vistelsen trevlig. Ett helt ok hotel, men ingen lyxkänsla.

Good value for the money - cheap hotel, nice view/balcony, rooms okay, good service and located not far from the city, the fitness and pool are okay. Close to Taikang lu.

The service where very good. The reception where very kind to help and guide for different places to go to. The cleaning was a typical chinese cleaning. There Massage at the Hotel was super and to cheap price. We will also choose this Hotel again if we should come to Shanghai again.

l hotel est bien situé, a 15 min en taxi du Bund. quartier calme. pas de super services mais interessant niveau prix.

Vi bodde på en business suite hvor vi hadde eget kjøkken, stor stue og stort soverom. Kjøkkenet ble aldri brukt da det er veldig billig å spise ut. De ryddet rommet og vi fikk nye håndkler og sengetøy hver dag. Service på hotellet var bra og de snakker greit engelsk, slik at man kunne få hjelp til diverse info. Eneste som trekker ned er at senga var ganske hard, men jeg har skjønt at dette er tilfelle mange steder i Shanghai. Frokosten var heller ikke spesielt imponerende. Den bestod av mye kinesisk mat, og toast med syltetøy eller egg, og til en pris av 50 RMB per pers valgte vi å spise frokosten andre steder de fleste dagene. Hotellets beliggenhet er ikke den mest sentrale, men da en taxitur sjeldent kostet mer enn 20 RMB (ca 20 Nkr) var ikke dette noe problem.

Das Hotel ist sauber und das Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich.Die U-Bahn könnte näher sein,und die direkte Gegend ist nicht wirklich schön.

Det er ikke et af de mest kendte hoteller i Shanghai, men det er rent og pænt med pool og restaurant - og en ok beliggenhed i Shanghai centrum - Billederne på deres webpage er lidt pyntede i.f.t. de virkelige forhold for alm. hotelværelser. Suiterne er meget flotte. Personalet taler meget lidt og meget dårligt engelsk og kan derfor ofte ikke være behjælpelig med ret meget! De ringer f.eks. ikke efter en taxi omkring kl. 17:00 det er for besværeligt.....
