Not a great neighborhood. But a real nice clean hotel

Lovely comfortable rooms, freindly service although the language barrier was difficult. The breakfast buffet had good choice. Location is ok but slightly out of main drag but still in walking distance to local market, restaurants and to Siam Square which has shopping malls etc.

For a hotel i could not expect more.Breakfast was excellent,staff friendly,room in great conditiom(shower head was not working good).But overall me and my future wife had a stress free stay.

Not particularly well located hotel - no taxi drivers have any clue where it is so make sure if you do stay here that you take the Thai address card from reception written in Thai script to show them> The staff at this hotel all try and rip you off and try and force you to go on group tours when you dont want to. Front desk are ok but BEWARE the concierge and the restaurant staff - all into scams to fleece you 0- the minute you step outside you are pounced on by people hassling you offerings sex and all sorts. if you decide to come to Bangkok then good luck cos I shall never ever go back there.

I was pleasantl surprised by the hotel amenities and the welcome platter of fruit. Upon driving into the street, I thought the location was not so great, but appearances were misleading. The hotel had sufficient amenities and breakfast was great! It was close to the shopping districts. Convenient currency exchange and a cafe nearby.

Pretty decent hotel for the money. Location was just OK. The SKY Train was a bit of a hike on a busy road. Make sure you go to the pool early- even in July, the water is freezing if you wait until the sun goes down. The concierge was a little shady. We got a little ripped off by the taxi from the airport (I'm 99% sure it was a modified meter) but the staff seemed to think the price we had to paid was correct. On the way out, we asked for a taxi but they referred us to the hotel car service which was pretty expensive. Not wanting to wait for a taxi, we actually bargained with the hotel car service. shady! Other than that, we had a good experience with the hotel. The manager of the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The only reason we wouldn't stay there again was the location.

The hotel was good overall. The staff was nice and friendly. The rooms were clean and good size. The breakfast was very nice with good variety of items. Some staff such as the conceirge were helpful. Its always a good tip in asking them before hand what will be the price fo any taxi or tuk-tuk journey. The location was central, it was walking distance to the Pratunam market and the Platinum mall and also a short tuk tuk ride away to MBK. Book the Golden Palace tour at the airport for only $15/£10 for two people. This includes transfers, english speaking tour guide and visit to the grand palace, Emerald Buddha and old city sight seeing. I think it was a very good price. Have a nice and cheap Thai massage at Magic Relax just walking distance to the hotel 450bht for two people. Just google and you will be able to locate the website. Dont go to the Hotel Tom Yum opp hotel, the food really sucked! It was set menu of 350bht each but it was not at all the worth it. Tuk Tuk ride is a must in Bangkok. Make sure you don't miss it. Nice cheap seafood restaurant near our hotel was Kualey sea food restaurant

If this is your first time in Bangkok and are here for sightseeing - look elsewhere. If you are here for business or already know your way around the city, this hotel is a good option. The biggest reason I probably won't stay here again, is the area. It's not dangerous or anything, it's just rather boring. The rooms are very nice and better than what you're paying for. Overall, very good quality, and not too far from all of the fun stuff.

I thought the Ramada was very nice, I had a couple complaints...did not have Wifi access in our room and was told it was because it was of the Honeymoon rooms (which was an upgrade). Also, the immediate area around the hotel is a little shady, especially at night. But during the day it's close to action. Great big breakfast with lots of selection. I recommend it if you are looking for a nice hotel, but not the best for backpackers or people who want an experience, kinda bland.

This place was awful. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. They tried to charge us additional fees and the room was not what was booked. This was the worst service we received on a 3 week trip to Thailand.

We've been going to Bkk for 11 years in a row. First time we stayed at the Ramada D Ma, it exceeded our expectations tremendously. Every one there was so polite, and helpful. I mean everyone, from the dining room staff, to the bellmen, to the front desk staff. There's free WiFi also; on the ground floor and again on the 8th floor, where the pool is located. We stayed there for 3 weeks 27 Feb-18 Mar 09. The food was very nice. and there was restuarants, and street venders just outside the door of the hotel. It's a good WALK to Pradunum Platinum, Big C, and other shopping areas. No problems with this hotel, and I'd stay here again without hesitation.

Hotel is very nice but tucked well out of the way. Its a bit misleading to say its close to Siam Square when it clearly isnt. It's a good half hours walk and thats if you can find your way but once inside there really isnt too much to complain about. We had the honeymoon room on 9th floor which couldn't be faulted and the staff were as helpful as you could expect them to be. The breakfast buffet was served in a small dining but was nice if a little limited. The welcome drink we were given was barely worth having but as I say, all minor points. The one real criticism of the hotel was that the bed was like sleeping on a piece of concrete only harder. Not giving at all and by the second night was bruised and aching from laying on our side. This would not be such a problem but coming from along flight the last thing you needs is to be unable to sleep. For this reason and this reason only I would try my luck somewhere else next time.

The hotel was great. It was our first time to Bangkok and we paid $99 a night for a two bedroom suite with four people. The hotel had a great breakfast and free internet in the business center. Next time we're in bangkok we'll stay here again!

The ramada was a beautiful hotel very friendly and helpfull staff with lovely pool and good breakfast. However if u are looking for a lively holiday this is not the place to stay also the hotel restaurant is nice but food is very basic and overpriced

The hotel was able to provide us transportation services for touring, pick up from the train station, and drop off at the airport as a very great rate.

We had a problem with a moldy smelling room and the hotel desk was very helpful. They got us two other rooms. The tour services desk is OK at best (read rip off). It is beter to set up your own excursions.

Stayed at Dma during our recent (2nd) stay in Bangkok. Wanted to be near Bumrungrad Hospital and get a great price. The price was right and the extras too, like free wifi on the executive floors and free breakfast. Other hotels will charge up to $20 for breakfast per person! Overall the Dma was fine, but the bed in our executive floor room was really uncomfortable with what felt like a metal bar running from one side to the other in the middle of the bed. Finally we got housekeeping to flip the matress over (fixed it) and get us some less "enthusiastic" pillows (too high). For the most part the hotel is well kept, but the windows in our room and the elevator lobbies, etc. were filthy inside and out. Granted Bangkok's air doesn't lend itself to clean exterior windows, but inside they appeared greasy. Yuk. We enjoyed the complimentary internet, but it wasn't always there in our room. We had to lug our laptop to one of the public wifi zones on a few occasions. On the whole. we've found it better to be on or near the skytrain or subway. The Dma is near neither and even though cabs are cheap you can feel yourself age as you sit in the traffic.

The beds were extremely hard and the pillows were too full. Very uncomfortable. The area is a bit scary. There are many other hotels in Bangkok, that are not that much more expensive and are much more comfortable. The breakfast was not too good either. Seemed to be directed more to Europeans.

I have stayed at this Hotel many times and I am pleased to say the standard of service still remains excellent.

The was comfortable and the staff were excellent. The area that needs improvement is when they give mapquest directions it should major landmarks so easier to find if taking the bus from the airport.

This is the second time that my friend and I have stayed at this hotel and it definitely won't be the last. It offers fantastic value for money and is in a great location. The pool terrace allows you to unwind after a longhaul flight with a swim, a drink and cheap but good food. Within a minutes walk from the hotel you have an abundance of restaurants and shops and one of Bangkok's many night markets is only a 5 minute walk away. The hotel staff are very helpful and you can arrange tours from the tour desk in reception. For a cheap base while you explore the city this hotel can't be beaten.

Although it was located in the vicinity to the major shopping area, it was alittle tricky to get to since it was tucked away into the small side streets. We travelled with our two boys and got the suite which was alot of room but alittle awkward configuration of rooms.Breakfast was alittle disappointing with very little choices and very few seatings available since it was at the poolside terrace.It made us feel like we had to fight for a table every morning! Still, the staff was courteous,rooms were clean, and good space for the money.

The Ramda, Bangkok was recently re-done. It is clean, with an adequate fitness room and a nice pool. The included breakfast was good. It certainly not a five star hotel, but I would certainly recomend it as it is one of the best values that I have ever had at any hotel. My entire family was very pleased.

I stayed at the Ramada for my first couple of nights in Bangkok, then toured around the city staying in other various areas. When I found out my flight was cancelled due to political protests at the airport, I returned to the Ramada because they have a nice pool and easy Internet access. The protests were peaceful, and I greatly enjoyed my extra unexpected 8 days in Thailand. The staff at the hotel was wonderful and took such great care of us. They posted the latest airport information in their lobby and extended their business center hours so we could have Internet access 24/7. They went above and beyond to make their guests happy. I have a whole new respect for Ramada and will definitely return. What a fabulous place!

Fantastic service and great room. Location may not be that great for the uninitiated tourist but such excellent value if you are prepared to explore.

Close to the airport with free shuttle service. Hotel resterant is the only resteraunt near by but foods not bad and a fair price. The hotel staff are friendly and the rooms are clean.

I stayed in this hotel twice during my lengthy Thailand vacation, i.e., it was good enough to return to. For U.S. prices, it's cheap; for Thai prices, it's an upper medium priced hotel. It's not a super hotel and it's not a so-so hotel either; it's a good place to stay to get away from the dirty scummy "normal" hotels that appear to be the norm in Bangkok, e.g., there are no geckos crawling on the ceilings and the a/c puts out a nice flow of very cool air. The floor's rug isn't excellent but it is good enough not to make one sniff upon entering the room and wonder, "what is that smell?" as occurs in other Thai medium to low priced hotels. Room service is good. The front desk staff were extremely courteous, the bell staff might have been a bit better as a whole - the majority were excellent, a couple were there to just "do their job" and get tips. If you stay here, I'd suggest not taking the friendly bellman's offer of a chaffeurred tour around BKK - use the real tour services from one of the local tourist agencies; the agencies are cheaper and they are more comprehensive, allowing you to see more of the sights as well as being more organized - trust me on this. Besides that, this is a nice hotel - not five star, not even close, but it's still a nice hotel, even by U.S. standards. If you're going to stay in BKK for a few nights, pay the extra bucks and try this place.

We were only here for one night, on our way to the beach. The service was very good, friendly staff and a very good breakfast - one of the better I have had in Thailand! Good for kids too The only frustrating thing with Bangkok is traffic and it did take our taxi sometime to get to the place...

Only few steps away,you will encounter the bustle and flow of the real street in Bangkok.Homemade cooking,street vendors and bicycle cab in an instant.A block away,a great place to shop for bargain hunters and designers knock offs.The hotel in itself is okay for the star rating.The receptionist are warm and able to speak basic english. The breakfast buffet appears sumptous but always the same if you stayed more than one night. Over all,its a decent place to stay for the price you pay.

L'hôtel est idéalement placé quand on vient de l'aéroport mais n'est pas vraiment dans les quartiers sympas de Bangkok. Le personnel est accueillant, le petit déj copieux et varié, les chambres propres et agréables. Deux bémols, la clim fait beaucoup de bruit (comme dans tous les hôtels Thailandais) et la déco date un peu plus que ce qui apparait sur les photos. Un bon hôtel pour la première et la dernière nuit à Bangkok (pour l'aéroport) mais pas plus.

J'ai choisi cet hôtel pour les 3 premières jours à BKK. Situé dans un quartier plutôt calme (ambassades, administrations), il est tout de même possible de manger dans des petits restaurants typiques. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Une valeur sûre

Hotellet känns gammalt och är lite slitet. Läget är ok, ca 20 minuters promenad till skytrain stationen Chit lom. Personalen var mycket trevlig och serviceminded. Det finns ett litet gym. På 8:e våningen var det en mysig pool med utsikt mot Thailands högsta skyskrapa. Frukosten är ok med mycket att välja på och en bemannad ommellet och våffelstation saknar dock bröd med lite fibrer och riktig juice.

Ett välskött och anrikt hotell mitt i smeten. Tio minuters promenad till Pantip. Rent och snyggt rejält stort rum. Toalett med både dusch och badkar. Stort varierat fräscht frukostutbud. Tjänstvillig och trevlig personal.
