Expecting a 5* hotel experience, what I got was sub-par very old rooms. no alcohol in mini bar. old tv. very out dated! far away from market and main streets.

Chose Swissotel Nai Lert Park in Bangkok cos we were looking for a hotel that's like a resort yet satisfy our needs for wining, dining and shopping. We had a young child with us so it was important that the pool was child-friendly and indeed it was! Having searched the web of the hotels in Bangkok, it was quite difficult to find a hotel with a 'child-friendly' pool. Most cater to adults. So in this area, it was the perfect choice. Internet access-very expensive. So this was a big inconvenience considering the hotel's distance from Starbucks in town. Service wise: 31/2. Front desk, night shift staff are better. Day shift staff were glump-looking and lacks the professional knowledge of basic stuff. Pool, again a mix of smiling and grumpy looking staff. Housekeeping- the day housekeeper was very good. The night housekeeper, slack. Conceirge- very helpful, good. So all in all, it all 'depends' on which staff you happen to come into contact with. Location: Ok walk to Central Chidlom/BHS for adults. Not too ideal if you have little children with you. Pretty convenient. Most taxi knows where is Nai Lert Park though.

Nice and clean room but could need a renovation of the bathroom. The lobby, restaurants and pool area were amazing. Very good service, my friend got a birthday cake sent to the room.

the hotel was great, pool amazing, staff very friendly... the only problem was I think there were bed bugs at the hotel. Some of the other guests were complaining about it too.

a wonderful haven in the middle of Bangkok. Lush gardens and the pool was just the right temperature on a hot day. Plenty of good places to eat within the hotel compound itself and the day spa was excellent.

The Swissotel is a nice hotel for the money. The rooms are clean and well kept. The pool area is a tropical oasis in the middle of a busy city. It was difficult to find because we were looking for a hotel sign that said "Swissotel" not Raffles.

This is a truly 5-star hotel located in the diplomatic district. Although you are relatively far from other 5-star hotels and the river, it offers superb comfort and service. Beautiful contemporary design, 3 restaurants, a tropical garden with a swimming pool, 2 tennis courts with professional players if you don't have company. Overall, two thumbs up!

Outstanding value for the level of service. Got a suite for a great deal. Pool area is nice. Overall good home base to visit BKK.

I have stayed at the Nai Lert Park hotel a dozen times over the past year. I stay in an Alcove Suite. Although the look of the room is a bit dated, the stay, services, and food are excellent! From the moment I arrive at the hotel, which is around midnight due to my flight into Bangkok, the staff is welcoming, comforting, and see to my every need during my entire stay. Everyone from the reception to the great men who get me my cabs (and explain to the cab drivers how to get me there) are polite, warm, and genuine. Whether you are a business traveler like myself or are looking for a romantic getaway (big beautiful gardens and pool in the middle of Bangkok), this hotel and the people who work there will take care of you in a first-rate style.

Exceptional staff and customer service

An exccellent hotel, ideally located. Easy to get to from the airport as just off the major highway from it. Near to a couple of BTS stations that connects to most of the famous attractions. The best feature is the amazing lush gardens that the pool and fitness facilities are in. Restaurants are good and offer a wide range of cusines. Staff very friendly and gestures such as turn down in the evening with a flower on the pillow and a birthday cake in the room for one of our birthdays during our stay was an excellent touch.

Bangkok can be crazy, particularly during Song Krang (Thai new year, aka Water Festival, April 12-15th), and the SwissHotel at Nai Lert Park was a fantastic oasis to retreat to after a long flight or a long day. In the midst of a bustling 24 hour city, but you'd never know it once your inside because it is so quiet and peaceful. Fantastic pool! Love love loved it. Great room service. Awesome breakfast spread, etc. Best shower I had all trip. The staff were all very nice and helpful. And major bonus, there is a fantastic fertility tree shrine on the hotel grounds.

overall accomodations are very clean and well appointed. Service is outstanding and super-friendly. The only complaint I had was a $20 internet charge or a $20 breakfast/day add-on. Considering "market" rates I thought that was pricey. Otherwise the hotel is fairly priced. The hotel pool is unsurpassed in quality

Good hotel

After reading several reviews from other travelers I was not sure we had picked a good hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel I could not understand the negative comments I had read. The hotel was lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just a few blocks from the sky train which made it very convenient to get to various places. The French restraunt was wonderful and no more expensive than you would pay for a wonderful meal in the states. The pool area is truly beautiful. We wish we would have had more time at this hotel.

A grand hotel with excellent service. Some details do warrant the 4.5 stars instead of the full 5, like some signs of ageing seen in the room as well as other places. Taking into account the price we paid, we're very happy with our stay!

Jag jämför denna vistelse med de övriga 15-20 stycken hotellen jag har erfarenhet av från Bangkok. Efter som beskrivningen av hotellet framstår att det skulle ha 4,5 stjärnor så kollade jag också hotellets egna hemsida och blev imponerad. Vi bokade hotellet då hotels.com hade ett mycket bra pris (jämfört med andra bokningssidor). Dock så blev vi mycket besvikna av vår upplevelse. Hotelrummet var inte alls i det skick som man kan förvänta sig av ett "brand name" hotel som skall vara 4-4,5 stjärnor. Ok, vårt rum var ett classic room men det betyde bara att allt är 25 år gammal, inkl mattan i korridoren. Det blev inte roligar av att städning av rummet var av låg nivå med gamal smut i badkar samt att hår på golvet. Poolområdet är ok, men inte alls speciellt. Det är en stor pool, massor med träd men ingen jacuzzi och 50% av möblerna är ok 50% är gamla. I poolbaren så kostar 1 scoop Mövenpick glass 235 bath + service + vat. En Cola kostar 160 baht ++. Allt är dyrt och helt utan service. På Marriot, Peninsula, Lebua och andra ställen som är 4-5 star så funkar allt perfekt med service, omhändertagande och kvalite. Men icke här.

Nicht nur das Hotel, nein auch die Aussenanlage ist sehr beeindruckend. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und liest einem quasi jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab. Sehr schöne Freizeitmöglichkeiten, wie Tennis, Fitness und Schwimmen lassen es nicht langweilig werden.

This is by far the best pool and garden you can get in Bangkok! Big, green and beautiful. All rooms have balconies but the rooms facing the garden have smaller balconies. Breakfast was excellent.

Et rigtig dejlig hotel i den lidt dyrere ende. 4 rstauranter med god mad for alle i familien.Mange MANGE myg om aftenen pga den meget dejlige have omkring swimmingpoolen - men myggespray klar hos tjenerne.Meget stille - man kan faktsik ikke høre den larmende by lige udenfor.Superpool - superfitness med 2 tennisbaner og squash samt aerobic timer.Betaling for internetadgang - mærkeligt i forhold til prisen for at bo der. Absolut et dejligt hotel.

Ett mycket bra hotell som har det mesta. Servisen är helt otrolig och man får hjälp med det man vill ha hjälp med. Dyr frukost med tanke på urvalet som erbjöds men det var gott det som fanns och det fanns ju en hel del ändå.

God beliggenhed tæt ved Siam square. Herlige fritidsfaciliteter i en dejlig have med fin swimmingpool, og gode fitnessfaciliteter. Service i reception, i restaurant og ved swimmingpool yderst fin.

Vakker bassengområde og pent innredet hotellrom.

Overall goed hotel met uitstekende service. 5 minuten lopen naar skytrain station Ploenchit. In de Bangkok jungle van verkeer, hitte, shoppen, etc is het zwembad gelegen in een voortreffelijke tuin een oase van rust.

Sehr angenehmes Ambiente mit kleinem, ruhigem Park, in dem auch der Pool ist. Diese Oase bietet tolle Entspannung in der hektischen und lauten Stadt (trotzdem sehr sehenswert). Fitness-Anlagen gut ausreichend und gepflegt in einem Pavillon im Park. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Komme gerne mal wieder!

verkehrsgünstig gelegen (sky-train, wasser-tuk-tuk!!), dennoch ruhig. sehr zu empfehlen!
